The first guests of the Family House

We welcomed our first guests last Sunday. They were 3 Ukrainians (a young woman and her two parents). They booked the house on Airbnb. Before arriving in Blois, they stayed a week in Paris. All was going well, they were happy to arrive and the Family House pleased them. It was really great to meet people coming from so far to visit the Loire Valley.

This first welcome was a little stressful for us. Have the answers for the questions, forget nothing, be sure that the guests have all what they need... But finally all was OK.

The bad surprise poped up the second day. Our guests called us beacause the water didn't stop to run in the toilets. The part managing the water inflow was broken while the toilets were brand new. We let our guests follow their visits schedule, and drive to the DIY store to buy a new part. One hour later, it was fixed. It's one of the advantages of a complete hand-made renovation : you know how it works, so you can react quickly if there is a problem and fix it immediatly.

Despite this surprise, all went very smoothly. When we did the check-out, the house was in perfect condition, an our guests drived to Angers to continue their trip in France. Now, we have just to prepare the house for our next guests, un family with two children aged 5 and 8. We wrote down a check-list to forget nothing, to adapt the house for the children, and to offer a perfect house to our guests.
